Seeking for job

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am currently working in a Business Process Outsourcing company handling many clients as a Quality Analyst for customer support service transactions. I have a total 7 years of work experience and I have been working as a Quality Analyst since 4 years. I have also completed Green Belt certification for Six Sigma which is helping me on the analysis work during Quality Assessment. Though I have not completed my graduation due to financial issues, I am completely willing to work as a QA for a call centre / BPO in Romania and will be promising for the best of performance during my tenure. Kindly let me know the chances for my career in Europe.

Regards,

Kiran

Quality Analyst job in Romania/Europe

Hi Kiran,
Have you had a look at the main article on Romanian jobs
There is a whole section there dedicated to call centers.

Six sigma certification is an valuable achievement balancing the drawback of not having a graduated university.

I think there are chances that you will land a job in Romania/Europe. Remember though that it is more complicated for an European company to hire a non-European.
There are many companies that seek to improve their processes this is why an experienced Quality Analyst is important.

If you are serious about coming to Romania, I would advise you to start learning the language, you can start with our first class:
Common Romanian words lesson which will help you to learn more about the country its economy/people as well as giving you more chances to land a job.

At a quick search I found the following jobs:

Hi,

Hi,
I have to be honest with you, based on your level of English (as perceived in your above comment) I do not really think that you could work in Romania in the sectors of retail, marketing, or film. First of all in Romania it's better to speak Romanian, and if you don't speak Romanian like yourself, then at least some decent level of English.

I hope you will take it as a constructive comment and improve your English to have then better chances of landing a job in Romania or elsewhere.

Looking for jobs in Romania (preferably on the North-West side)

Hi there,
On my last 12 years, I lived in the USA and I worked for the same company all these years. I'm looking forward to returning to Romania. The company I worked for was leading in low voltage services (Structured-cabling, WI-fi, Access control, CCTV and Fire Alarm). My last position was Project Manager (my specialty was Security Access Control, CCTV and Fire Alarm) and I'm looking for a similar position in Romania, preferably on the North-West side of the country. Any information will be deeply appreciated.

Hi Etta,

Hi Etta,
Now it's not really the time to search for a job in Romania. At the time of writing this comment, the number of people that got infected by the coronavirus is at its peak. The economy is moving on, but companies are not really hiring as much as they were in the past.

In any case, if you still want to find a job in Romania, please let me know your skills and background to be able to help you better.

All the best

Graphic Designer/ Animator/ 3D Modeler/ Photographer

Can anyone help me find a job in Iasi RO? Looking to move there next year some time and will hopefully know more of the language...

Thank you!

Hi,

Hi,

Here are three jobs for Graphic Designer in Iasi:
https://www.ejobs.ro/locuri-de-munca/iasi/?cauta=graphic%20designer

https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/lead-senior-graphic-designer/1... - this one in particular also refers to animation

The following is not particularly a 3D modeler in the sense of animation, it is more linked with architecture:
https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/architectural-visualizer/1323541

As a photographer I think it's complicated to get a job, there are quite many Romanian photographers out there, and no job in Iasi.

All the best

Hi

Thank you so much!

US Citizen Looking for work in Romania

Hi, I am in search of English-speaking job opportunities in Romania (Cluj-Napoca would be ideal, but I’m willing to go anywhere). I have military experience, education experience, and a Bachelor’s degree. I understand the process of entering the country is very complicated right now due to covid-19, but thought I would ask if anyone knows where I could find a job. I also don’t have a work permit, so I have a long way to go. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

A committed American

Hi,

I appreciate your commitment, indeed many obstacles. You seem to be a committed man with a plan.

Based on the brief description that you provided it's complicated to find something for your specialization. Hence here are all the jobs where English is required
https://www.ejobs.ro/locuri-de-munca/cluj-napoca/?cauta=english
you can easily skip the ones that require other languages.

I had a quick look at the list, and I find the following job opportunities interesting for you in Cluj:
1) https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/customer-service-representativ... Customer rep
2) https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/language-trainer-italian-and-e... It's in education and it has English language as a requirement. It also requires Italian which I guess you do not speak. You could apply or contact the company to see if they have other openings with English only
3) https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/material-advisor-with-english/... a job opening at bombardier in cluj, with your military background it might help
4) https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/communications-analyst-profici... - a job for US clients . The job is advertised as remote, so in theory you could apply even from where you are right now
5) https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/online-research-analyst-remote... - similar with the above working for an US based company
6) https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/process-engineer-tef82-cljp/13... - a job at Bosch, a big European manufacturer

By chance I came across other job openings in cities that are relatively close to Cluj:
https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/reporting-analyst-workforce-an...

In any case, you need to start learning Romanian asap. Some of the above jobs might require that you speak Romanian even though they do not specify it explicitly in the add, the job openings are in English already to filter out the Romanians that do not speak Romanian. I'm sure that some of the above require only English. Anyway you could apply and then you'll find out. Even if you speak 20% Romanian it's still a beginning and usually a potential employer would appreciate.
You could start with our free Romanian lesson:
https://www.learnro.com/common-romanian-words

Actually all this website is about learning Romanian for free, there are many lessons for you to study.

Looking for a job in construction industry

But I hope and wish to work in Romania in any feasible job for english speaking person.

Jobs For an SAP Data Modeler in Bucharest

Hi All!

I'm looking to move to Bucharest and find an SAP or ERP systems related job and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Currently, I do data modeling in SAP and have worked for Steelcase and Haworth which are two of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world. I have 4 years of experience, Triple Majored in Information Systems, Logistics Management, and Marketing, so I'm open to anything. My primary concern is being able to pay my student loans while abroad, they would be $600 USD a month plus my rent and expenses in Bucharest. Is it feasible to get a job in Bucharest that would allow me to afford all of this? Are there any suggestions on companies to work for that are hiring Americans?

If anyone has any questions for me or needs more information I'd be happy to provide it!

Thanks!

Hi,

Hi,

Here are my findings
1) this looks like an opportunity with a Romanian Company for the company that you've worked in the past, Steelcase. The job vacancy is expired, but you could still contact the Recruitment Agency to check if they still have some job openings with your previous employer.
Here is the expired job vacancy,
https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/sap-hcm-consultant-locatia-clu...
Here is the details of the human resources company that advertised it: http://www.salesconsulting.ro/en/pagini/2-contact.html

2) I found this intersting job where they require SAP, English and data skills.
https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/sap-data-migration-sap-master-...

I'll check a bit more for you.
I take it that you do not have, or have less developer skills, or big data, data analytics skills. Especially the last ones are in demand nowadays, e.g. to know R, data lakes, data reporting... something like this:
https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/data-engineer/1353668

ERP is a bit more complicated, since there are many ERP solutions out there and the companies are searching for developers or for business consultants and in the case of the later while English is a plus you would need Romanian.
I would say you have higher chances with your SAP experience than with ERP, unless you have developer skills e.g. Java, .NET...

Happy to help

Thank you so much for doing

Thank you so much for doing this! I really appreciate it and applied to the jobs you recommended. I'm hoping for the best and crossing my fingers.

foregion factory workers salary

what is the minimum salary for foregion factory labours in romania

Minimum wage in Romania

Hi,

The minimum wage bruto in Romania in 2021 is 2300RON which at today's exchange rate = 471 EUR.
The minimum wage neto, thus after paying all the taxes, what you get in your hand/account, in Romania in 2021 is 1300RON which at today's exchange rate = 284 EUR.

An employer is obliged by law to pay this minimum salary/wage to any employer, on any type of job, in any industry/economy area. The employers can certainly go above this threshold.
Your question was about factory labour wage, well since you did not specify neither the type of industry nor the type of job, it's complicated to answer your question. I would assume that an unskilled worker would get this salary for easy tasks, e.g. "paznic" security guard, and that even if you would be unskilled but that one might do a bit dangerous tasks or more difficult type of tasks the salary should be higher than the minimum wage. If you could have a more specific question I'd be happy to help in answering it, e.g. which type of industry, which type of post....

The minimum wage in Romania is called "Salariul minim pe economie".

Travel sector jobs in Romania

Dear Muhammad,

I checked the available jobs, and as expected the job market is really low now when it comes to travel jobs. As you can imagine due to the COVID-19 restrictions Romanians are travelling less and the airlines are also flying less, thus all the industry is having problems. I believe that this is a world-wide issue and not only for Romania.

I think that your best chances would be this company www.conduent.com
I found one of their jobs here https://www.ejobs.ro/user/locuri-de-munca/travel-assistant-with-german-a... where they require German and English, I guess you do not speak German, but you could check their website directly and see if they have other jobs.

There are only a handful of other jobs in the travel industry, however I would say that your chances are slim close to zero if you do not speak Romanian at all.
Here are some of them, the job vacancies are in Romanian though.

Salary of civil engineer

hello, can I ask what is the salary wage of civil engineer in Bucharest?
What site can I search civil engineering jobs/ autocad jobs/ steel detailing jobs? Thank you.

Civil engineer - Inginer constructor - Romania

Hi,

First of all the Civil Engineer is called in Romanian "Inginer constructor" or "Inginer în construcții"
The salary varies based on the experience of course, I would say somewhere between 4000RON and 7000 RON.
You need to be ready to travel a bit, as construction companies have projects not only in Bucharest but also outside.

For where to search for jobs, you can search on the two main Romanian sites ejobs.ro and bestjobs.eu
For example I found this job that explicitly mentions the maximum salary:
https://www.bestjobs.eu/en/job/inginer-constructor-executie-lucrari-inte...

You can search for terms such as autocad that are specific to civil engineers like this:
https://www.ejobs.ro/locuri-de-munca/bucuresti/?cauta=autocad

In any case you will need to learn Romanian, and also learn the Romanian specificities for constructions. I guess you are aware of it.
Just as a reminder this site where you've posted now it's primarily meant to help foreigners learn Romanian, here is the list of lessons available
https://www.learnro.com/romanian-lessons
